The USA Top Ten Competition Team will travel to South Korea in April, 2019, for the first World Wide Country Challenge conducted by the Korean Kennel Club.

The USA Top Ten Team takes the challenge to compete against the Korean Kennel Club Top Ten Team and yes, that is a tongue twister.

Good Luck and May the Best Team Win!

Hosting Country
The hosting country supplies dogs for both teams to prevent transporting dogs on international flights. The type of breeds supplied are the most popular in the country hosting the challenge. To keep it fair, members from both teams randomly draw their competition dogs.

Travel the World
World wide challenge is just what the name says. Competitors travel world wide to meet new friends and experience the culture and the pet industry on an international scale.

IJA is growing and it is showing with the number of competitions, certifications, workshops, seminars and international team events.

Panel of Judges
The IJA Judging Team works closely together as a panel during the competition to discuss likes and dislikes, compare differences and similarities in styles and standards and overall justify their individual placements and scores.

The ultimate in continuing education for judges designed by Vivian and the late John Nash during the formation of IJA in 1989.

EDUCATION AT IT'S BEST
Vivian Nash
"IJA is all about education to help set high standards in our industry by offering ways and means to receive credit and acknowledgement for continuing education via competition scores, ranks, certifications and placements." says Vivian Nash, Cofounder of IJA and owner of the Nash Academy of Animal Arts.

School Owner
Vivian is a school owner with over 40 years experience in teaching students the art of bathing, grooming and styling with professionalism. She understands what it takes to train beginners and to encourage continuing education during the lifetime of their career.

Past Competitor
As a past competitor Vivian has experienced many different types of competition systems and understands the importance to encourage rather than discourage continued participation by rules, policies and procedures as well as restrictions that prohibits competitors to be all that they can be in their chosen profession.

Single Judge and Panel Judge
Vivian judged for many years as a single judge and after working with her late husband John Nash, they realized what a difference it makes working together as a panel and utilizing each show as continuing education for all judges of all levels. Many of the top judges in the world are past or current IJA Judges.
